Delicious food, and super cheap! This was my first experience with currywurst and I loved it. I got the "standard" sauce, pork sausage, with fries. I was warned about walking there from my hotel, but during daylight hours, it was fine.
Apparently it's hard to find German food this side of the river in Frankfurt, so I highly recommend this place for anyone staying at the Holiday Inn nearby. Note that it's cash only. -

It's by a really shady street but the food is decent enough to not care. I would eat if you're close by but otherwise skip this.

Good food, friendly staff. We wanted to eat some proper German foods and currywurst is one of them!! Low price and portion is reasonable !

As unlikely as it sounds, Frankfurt's best currywurst is located in the middle of its sleaziest street. The joint is clean, the service friendly and efficient and the food is absolutely to die for. We tried the regular one, the mango-pineapple curry, and the mozarella honey mustard currywurst. The latter is a very filling meal and is the reason for the 5 vs. 4 stars. The rich combination of flavors distances it from what one expects from fast-food. It tastes like an actual well-rounded meal. To top it off, they serve it with a great amount of heavy German dark country bread. Another winner for this place, since most sausage joints in Germany serve theirs with industrial "Brötchen".

Not sure what the big hype around currywurst is, but the food was quite good for the price! I paid under 3 euros for dinner, and that happens almost nowhere. Ordered the pork currywurst, and it came in a sweet red sauce (marinara?) with a pinch of curry powder, turmeric, and possibly cumin on top. Nice combo... I might try to recreate it at home. :) The bread, however, I was not a fan of. It was thick and sweeter than I wanted it to be, but there's a great amount - so that's a plus, I guess.
Service was as it should be -- no frills, but fast. Make sure to be in and out safely since it's in the red light district. Overall, I recommend because of the low price!
